239.         $75

New Haven Clock Co. “Winnipec Regulator”, ca. 1889.  A small wall clock, 34.5 inches finial to finial in walnut with an old finish; the top and bottom center finials are incorrect, and the apron below the dial appears to be an improper replacement (see Ly, New Haven Clocks & Watches, page 154). The door glass is modern, the side glasses may be original.  The painted dial is faded and rough, the hands appropriate.  The signed New Haven 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running feebly and the strike is stuck; it will likely need professional attention before too long.  There is a good label on the back.  AAC sold one last summer for $116, and one two years ago for $200. $75–$150.
