85. $400
Brewster & Ingrahams four post sharp gothic
(onion top), 1843-1852. A 20-inch case with flame mahogany on the front, four side columns and four finned finials. The
finish is dark but clean. The dial glass is older, but the putty is new; the lower cut and frosted glass is typical but
probably a modern replacement. The contoured dial was repainted by The Dial House, the hands are typical and period. The
8-day time-and-strike movement has 1-inch brass springs and is signed; it is running and striking. There is a very
dark label inside. No key. AAC sold a similar example in 2024 for $475. $250–$500.
