Brewster & Ingrahams round gothic (beehive), 1843-1852.  A 19-inch figured mahogany-veneered case with an old, slightly crackled finish.  Both glasses are period and possibly original, with the lower glass the typical cut-glass figure.  The painted metal dial looks original, the hands period. The signed, 8-day time-and-strike movement is running and striking on the wire gong.   The label has been lost.  $50–$100.
