96.              $650

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Garfield”, 1887.  A 29.5-inch walnut case with a clean old finish and light wear.  The door glass is likely original, the dial holds old paint with the ST logo, location at the bottom, and proper ST hands.  The signed 8-day, time-and-strike ST movement is running nicely, driven by two brass weights and a damascened nickel pendulum bob, striking on a cathedral gong.  There is a black label inside on the bottom, and the date of manufacture stamped on the back.  A great example.  AAC has sold five of this model in the last several years for an average of $827 and a similar example a year ago for $883.  $650–$900.
