247. $150
Schlenker & Kienzle free-swinger wall clock, ca. 1910. A
41-inch walnut case with a clean old finish. Lots of carvings and adornments and I wouldn’t guarantee that all the finials are
original or correct, but they look good. The two side doors have lost their fabric covering. The dial glass is convex,
the porcelain and brass dial is clean and without flaws, with proper hands. The center ring has a shield that replicates the
brass shield-shaped pendulum. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is running and striking the wire gong, just slightly
out of plumb. No label, but the back of the movement has the S&K logo and a serial number of 1 million + 254763. A
nice example. $150–$300.
