F. Kroeber Vienna regulator, ca. 1881.  This 45-inch single-weight, time-only Vienna was made in Germany for Florence Kroeber; the movement is stamped “F Kroeber New York”.  It is shown on page 471 of Ly’s book, Kroeber Clocks as “Vienna Unlisted K334”.  The case is walnut with ebonized trim; the finials are period, as is the door glass and side lights.  The porcelain dial has numerous hairlines and appropriate hands, although the seconds bit is likely a replacement.  The 8-day movement bears the serial number 28867, which is also found on the brass movement mount; the brass weight is beat up.  It is running but in need of service.  The pendulum bob is hollow.  No label.  $150–$300.
