Gustav Becker three-weight Vienna, ca. 1905.  A 51-inch dark walnut case with three glasses and three weights, striking on two rods.  The door glass looks modern; the dial is badly worn where silvered, the hands proper.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed on the back with the Gustav Becker logo and the serial number 433175.  It is running and counting the quarter hours on one rod, but the hour-count hammer is not striking the hours on the second rod.  The weights have brass appliques, although the center weight does not match the other two, and is missing its end-cap.  The pendulum also has applied figures of dancing women, as does the dial centerpiece.  The weight pulleys are marked ‘GB’.  A nice example, just needs an adjustment for the hour strike side.  $200–$500.
