Seth Thomas “World”, ca. 1910. I believe this
is the 15-day version of this clock; the Type 86 movement is not marked other than the ST name and logo. The 32-inch case
is veneered in rosewood with an old and slightly dull finish. The dial glass is modern, the lower glass is period but may
be a replacement. The gold trim around the glass has been painted. The dial was repainted with what appears to be
the name of a business in England (Gillham Eastbourne). The three hands are old and correct. The double-spring movement
is running with the correct pendulum bob and stick. The label has been lost, and there is a brass beat scale at the bottom. $100-$200.
