176.           $450

Waltham Clock Co. “No. 35” wall regulator, 1913.  A 42-inch clean mahogany/walnut case with a weight-driven 8-day movement.  The finish is old with patina, and I can’t be sure what wood is underneath, although I’m pretty sure it’s not cherry.  This model appeared in the 1910 catalog and is uncommon; the brass plate movement is signed and numbered 1333, dating it to 1913.  The door glass is period/original; the signed dial has likely been repainted, with some chipping around screw mounts.  It is running like a champ, driven by a compounded brass weight that runs down the right side; there is a working door latch and key.  I’d polish the bob and maybe the weight, but that’s just me.  Fontaine’s sold one in 2020 for $500.  $450-$600.
