Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Office Calendar No. 5 REPRODUCTION”,
ca 1980. An unsigned reproduction of this large and impressive calendar wall clock. It is very well
made with the correct ornaments and carvings (see Ly, Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements, Vol. 1, page 94). It is
48 inches long with a dark walnut stain; I am not sure what wood was used. Both dials are new, the hands correct except
for the seconds bit. The 8-day, time-only, weight-driven movement is unsigned, the calendar movement appears new. There
is a correct pendulum stick and a large plain brass bob hanging in front of a brass beat scale, as found on the originals. The
bottom glass for viewing the pendulum opens with a winding key to allow access to the pendulum. The clock is running and
the calendar is advancing. AAC sold a similar reproduction in 2024 for $800. $750-$1200.
