Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Office Calendar No. 3”, ca. 1863.  The “Peanut” was an early wall calendar from Seth Thomas, only 23 inches from tip to tip, with a 6-inch time dial and an 8-inch calendar dial.  This model uses a round, double-wind, time-only movement that runs for 8 days, and was used only in this model.  To put it simply, this clock is all original, from the finish to the screws holding it together. The rosewood veneer on the bezels and the walnut veneer on the front and sides is dark and dull – this clock hasn’t seen polish since the 1800’s.  Original glasses, original dials and paint, with some professional touch-up to both dials that is difficult to see, proper hands, a working 8-day movement and calendars.  The roller papers are old, yellowed, tattered, and almost certainly original. There is an old pendulum bob, a label on the back of the door, and a working latch and key.  The average of five sales on AAC over the past six years is $2579.  $1500–$2500.
