153. $100
Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. “No. 11 Octagon Poni”, 1883-1890. The Poni is a three-quarter version of the full-size Octagon, standing 18 inches tall. This one has undergone considerable restoration. The walnut case has a clean finish with a couple of darker marks at the top of the door; the glass is modern. The paper dial
mask is new (it was originally paper too); the hands are incorrect replacements and not sized perfectly. Most notably, the time
movement is by E. Ingraham & Co. rather than Welch and is so marked. The calendar drop gearing is present on the back and
appears to be working, but the ICCC small calendar movement is not working and will need attention. There is no date or inventory
number, and the back is hinged to the case with no labels. The clock is running. $100–$200.
Joel Warren, the guru of Ithaca
clocks, called this a “FrankenPoni”. The movement is a modified Ingraham black mantel clock movement with the calendar mechanism
attached to the back. Note that it should work if the lower calendar movement can be properly adjusted.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?
You betcha! Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return
it for a full refund if you are unhappy. If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident
from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well. Find another auction company that does that!
