Ansonia Clock Co. “Lenox” enameled iron case, ca. 1904.  A 9.5 by 11.5-inch cast-iron case with a polished finish, gilded incisings on the front, and a flat glass over a bronze repoussé dial with hand-painted numbers.  Well, it looks good.  The hands are mismatches, the 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed and running, striking on a cathedral gong.  No label.  $25–$100.
