F. Kroeber “Arabia No. 1”, ca. 1884.  A 13-inch-tall by 16-inch-wide metal case that originally had a brass finish, now painted bright gold.  The porcelain dial has numerous hairline cracks and chips around the winding arbors; it has the Kroeber logo in the center section and proper hands.  The dial glass is flat and may be original.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed F Kroeber, New York, and is running and striking on a cathedral gong.  No label.  $150–$300.
