E. Ingraham & Co. “Arch Column No. 1”, ca. 1865.  An early shelf clock with a classic design, a popular but difficult model to find.  The case is 17 inches tall with rosewood veneer on the front and grain-painted sides.  The gilt columns are original, with wear; both glasses are original as well, with a well-retained tablet. The dial is very old paper, the hands proper.  The unsigned 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running, striking the hours on a wire gong. There is a good label inside and an Ingraham key; a very nice and original example.  AACsold one in 2022 for $250.  $200-$400.
