Elisha Hotchkiss, Jr long-drop pillar & scroll, 1831-1834.  Mr. Hotchkiss worked out of Burlington CT for three years before going bankrupt; he reformed the company in 1838 with his son-in-law, Edward Fields, and continued making mostly long-drop wooden works clocks like this.  This case is 33 inches long with the brass urn finials and several inches taller than a typical pillar & scroll and a bit narrower, at 16 inches.  This is the only pillar and scroll example I can find from Mr. Hotchkiss on LiveAuctioneers or the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide, and I am a bit suspect of its authenticity; I believe it has undergone considerable restoration.  The feet and skirt look to be replacements, as does the scroll top and both side-columns.  There is a noticeable abrasion on the base plate in the center.  Both glasses are modern, with a fine tablet.  The wooden dial is clean with light wear, the hands are period.  The 30-hour time-and-strike wooden movement appears to match a movement found in another Hotchkiss clock; it will strike but is reluctant to run.  There are period weights and a pendulum bob, and a good label on the backwall. $150-$300.
