Seth Thomas “Mayflower”, ca. 1928.  Seth Thomas made several versions of this ship’s bell model; this one appears to be the earliest, listed in the catalog in 1928.  The clock is 9.25 inches tall and 13.5 inches wide.  It has a brass ship’s wheel as a screw bezel and thick glass; there are a few spots of corrosion on the wheel and on the brass housing.  The 4.5-inch silvered dial is in very good condition, with proper hands.  The lever movement is 7-jeweled with a ship’s strike on a bell; the clock is running and striking, sounding great, but I have no idea what the bells mean or when to expect them.  The wood base is mahogany with a dark finish and some wear.  AACsold one in 2022 for $150.  $100-$200.
