Gebrueder Resch “Remember” Vienna, 1872-1895. A 38-inch
peaked case with an open pendulum and weights, in mahogany with ebonized trim. The flat glass is period, the dial porcelain
with no wear or damage, the hands appropriate. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is stamped with the “Remember”
logo and a serial number (84475) that is also found on the pendulum and movement mount. It strikes on a wire gong mounted on
the back of the movement and there is a repeater cord on the right. The pendulum bob is hollow and the two brass weights are
not exact matches. “Remember” with the maker’s name and “Patent” are stamped into the backwall above the pendulum, with a large
R/A porcelain emblem at the bottom. It is running and striking without issue. There is only one other sales record, on
the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide in 2003 for $803, and that was a time-only model. No sales on LiveAuctioneers. A very unusual model. $500–$1000.
