209.         $500

Chauncey Jerome miniature keyhole clock, ca. 1850.  A 15.5-inch case that has a dark, dull finish; I cannot tell if it is rosewood or just grain-painted to resemble rosewood.  Both glasses are original, with a well-retained original tablet.  The paint on the metal dial looks original, the hands are likely period but replacements. The 30-hour, time-only movement is unsigned and running, and there is a good label inside.  Three sales on LiveAuctioneers, mostrecently at Schmitt Horan in 2023 for $600.  A desirable model, difficult to find.  Cute as a button, too!  $500–$1000.
