199.           $250

Waterbury Clock Co. “Regulator No. 3”, ca. 1891.  A slightly later version of this model, shown on page 184 of Ly’s Waterbury Clocks & Watches, and lacking the apron under the dial found on earlier versions.  The 46-inch case is walnut with a dark, older finish.  The crest may be a proper, well-crafted replacement, the finials do not match the catalog finials.  The door glass is old.  The painted dial holds the original paint with some chipping and crazing.  The Waterbury logo is bottom-center, the fancy hands are Waterbury issue.  There is a seconds bit. The 8-day, time-only movement is driven by two brass weights that lack end-caps; the movement is attached to a mounting frame and is signed.  It is running nicely, regulated by a Waterbury pendulum and bob.  There is no label.  Only one similar example on LiveAuctioneers from 2017, this is an uncommon model.  $250–$500.
