Ansonia Clock Co. “Regulator A Calendar”, ca. 1901. A
32-inch walnut case with a clean, older finish and an ebonized trim ring around the dial. Both glasses look original with
“Regulator A” in silver stencil on the bottom glass and gilded trim around the outside. The paper dial is likely original,
with staining and wear. It bears the Ansonia logo and is signed at the bottom. The hands are proper including the brass
Ansonia calendar hand. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed and running, striking on a wire gong with
a signed Ansonia base, and a proper Ansonia pendulum and bob; the calendar hand is advancing. As is typical for this model,
there is no label. AAC has sold four of this model for an average of $101. $75-$150.
