Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Office Calendar No. 3”, ca. 1863. The “Peanut” was an early wall calendar from Seth Thomas, only 23 inches from tip to tip, with a 6-inch time dial and an 8-inch calendar dial.  This model uses a round, double-wind, time-only movement that runs for 8 days, and was used only in this model.  The rosewood veneer is complete with a clean finish.  Both glasses look to be original, the contoured metal dials have been repainted, with proper hands.  The round 8-day, double-wind movement is unsigned, runs for a while, but not overnight; the calendar hand and weekday roller is advancing smoothly and as expected.  Always a highly desirable model.  AAC sold one last summer for $2223.  $1500–$2000.
