166.           $250

Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. “No. 10 New Farmer’s”, 1880-1917. A 26-inch walnut case with a clean finish.  Both glasses and both glossy paper dials are old, the dials with moderate wear. The hands are correct.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement was made by Welch for the ICCC; it is running and striking correctly, and the calendars are advancing.  The pendulum bob is nickel-plated, suspended on a proper hanger.  The day and month roller papers are dark and probably original; a label has been lost from the back.  A possible date is penciled on the backboard, but it suggests a date of 1877, before these clocks were made; it may be a swapped backboard.  Five sales on AAC, averaging $312.  $250-$400.
