135.           $50

New Haven Clock Co. “Clyde”, ca. 1885.  A 22-inch walnut case with a glossy finish.  You know it’s a New Haven clock from the distinctive period glass.  The signed glossy paper dial is a replacement, the hands are as shown in the catalog illustration on page 326 of Ly’s book on New Haven clocks.  The 8-day time-and-strike movement is not marked; it is running and striking on a wire gong.  There is a dial-adjustable pendulum and an illegible label on the back.  $50–$100.
