128.           $100

E. Ingraham & Co. “Carmen”, ca. 1886.  Another uncommon model from Ingraham.  Here the case is “Light Wood, Black Trimmings, Polished”.  The finish is clean but in need of polish or lacquer.  The door glass is old, the paper dial likely original and darkly toned, with wear.  The hands are correct. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a cathedral gong and with a proper pendulum.  This clock also has a remote alarm (untested).  A shred of a label on the back.  Another interesting case that is difficult to find – only one sale on LiveAuctioneers, for ~$90 in 2024 at Schmidt’s Antiques.  $100–$200.
