127.           $100

E. Ingraham & Co. “Bazar”, ca. 1886.  An 18.5-inch walnut case with a rich, patinaed finish, crusty in corners and crevices.  The door glass is period, the paper dial likely original, the hands proper/original.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a cathedral gong, with a proper pendulum.  All the clocks in this style have a “slow strike” with a rich, modulated sound.  No label.  Just one sale on LiveAuctioneers.  $100–$250.

The "black box" on the lower left inside is the base plate on which the movement is mounted; it is about 1/2 inch thick and has a glossy finish.  It extends over to the right but is not noticeable.  Craig Burgess tells me that it is original, and found in other models.
