117.           $100

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Newark”,  1890.  One of the most common “City Series” clocks, and an attractive one at that, and probably why it is so common.  In walnut with a clean refinish, 22 inches tall.  The door glass is old with a good gold stencil, the dial is old paper, worn, and with the ST logo, and the hands are Seth Thomas “ST” hands.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a wire gong mounted on a Seth Thomas gong base.  The pendulum is proper and ST issue.  No label, but the date on the back is 1890.  Nice. $100–$200.
