Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Derby”, ca. 1890.  Ly (Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements, Vol. 1, page 192) shows two versions of this model with different bases; this represents a third version. The 19.5-inch walnut case has a clean finish and an original door glass with a gold foliate stencil.  The paper dial is stained and yellowed but is signed; the hands are Seth Thomas issue.  The 8-day, time-and-strike Seth Thomas movement is running and striking on a wire gong on a ST gong base, with a plain pendulum bob.  Remnants of a label on the back.  Not a common model. $100–$200.
