Jerome & Co. miniature steeple, ca. 1860. The label says Jerome & Co. but the movement is die-stamped New Haven Clock Co.  NHCC continued to use the J&C name after they purchased J&C in 1857.  The 15.5-inch mahogany case has a clean, light finish and a period/original door glass with some losses to the backing.  The dial has been repainted, the matched hands are interesting, and the 30-hour time-and-strike movement is running and striking on a wire gong.  Good label and a New Haven pendulum bob.  $25–$75.
