Waterbury Clock Co. “Sharp Gothic” 30-hour steeple,ca. 1881.  A 19.5-inch case veneered in flame mahogany with a clean finish and proper finials.  The dial glass is period/original, the lower glass modern with an attractive tablet.  The metal dial has the original or very old paint, the hands are period/original. The 30-hour time-and-strike movement is die-stamped Waterbury Clock Co.; it is running and striking on a wire gong.  There is an alarm hooked up but untested.  A good label, but the maker’s name is obscured by the gong mount.  $50–$100.
