72.              $100

Terry & Andrews balance wheel box clock, 1842-1850.  An unusual clock from these makers, the only example I can find.  The 11-inch-tall rosewood case has a clean finish and a polished brass bezel and carrying handle; the dial glass is convex, the metal dial with old paint and touch-ups, and proper hands.  The 8-day time-and-strike, lever-spring movement is signed Terry & Andrews, Bristol, CT USA; I can’t get it to run.  No label.  Not typical for these two, who went on to found Ansonia Clocks with Anson Phelps.  No sales records for this model.  $100–$250.
