Seth Thomas “Patent Eight Day Clock”, ca. 1835.  A 36.5-inch mahogany case with two doors, four half-columns, and a carved splat.  The dial glass is early twentieth century, the lower glass modern with a repainted image and border.  The wooden dial is clean, the hands appropriate and period.  The wooden 8-day, time-and-strike movement is reluctant to run but will strike on the iron bell. There are two standard 8-day weights and a good label.  Another beautiful Jeff Villet restoration.  $400–$500.
