MA-18.           $50

Chauncey Jerome 30-hour OG, 1845-1856.  This clock was made after Jerome moved his operation to New Haven in 1845.  The 26-inch case, veneered in flame mahogany with a worn finish, needs just a bit of restoration.  Both glasses are period/original, the tablet of the Capitol before 1850 has been rebacked nicely (note the misspelling on the tablet title).  The flat metal dial is likely original to this clock and has old if not original paint, with some inpainting.  The hands are proper.  The 30-hour time-and-strike brass movement is unsigned but looks like a Jerome movement; it is running and striking with two old weights.  A good label.  Collectable for the tablet.  $50-$150.
