Anglo-American wall clock, ca. 1890.  A 34-inch walnut case with extensive marquetry, as was popular in England in the late 1800’s.  As I understand it the movements were made by American manufacturers and the cases made in England.  The movement in this clock is not signed or marked, and that is not uncommon. The door glass and interior mirror are both period, the aluminum dial is a modern replacement with period hands.  The clock is running and striking on a bell on the hours, regulated by a single barrel pendulum.  No label.  These are not uncommon, but this one is in excellent condition with fabric behind the fenestrations around the dial and no losses to the inlaid marquetry. One column has been broken but has been repaired and is stable; the end-finials on the scroll at the bottom are likely replacements, and the outside tips of the crest have been removed.  $100–$200.
