French champlevé carriage clock with complications, ca. 1900? First off, I cannot be sure this is a French carriage and not a recently made Chinese reproduction.  I have seen both that look like this and I cannot distinguish them.  This 8.25-inch tall (with the handle up) clock has champlevé decorations on all sides, the top, and the columns.  There are four beveled glasses, with the right side glass broken at the top.  The porcelain dial shows the time and alarm dials, with a sweep seconds hand and trefoil hands.  There is a repeater button on the top that is working, but I cannot get the clock to run, and it will need service.  The brass case is tarnished, as is the movement, suggesting it has some age.  The movement is not signed or stamped with any identifying marks.  A key to wind and set the time is included. $25–$250.
