236. $50
French metal case clock, ca. 1890. A 12-inch sculpted
metal case with an old and possibly original finish. There is a beveled flat glass over the two-part dial with a visible escapement. The porcelain outer ring has numerous hairlines and a repair to the upper right. The hands are likely original, the pallets
are steel. The small round movement is signed but I don’t recognize the maker, with an eagle symbol over a medallion. The pendulum is fixed and there is a flat glass in the back door. It will run for a while but stops. Time-only. $50–$100.
