Ansonia Clock Co. “Crystal Regulator No. 5/6” (marriage),ca. 1906.  I believe this is a combination of the porcelain top of a No. 5 Crystal Regulator with the base from a No. 6. The two sections are a good but not perfect match in colors; there is no evident damage or repairs, and little wear.  The clock is 17.75 inches tall with four beveled glasses and lightly tarnished brass corners.  The two-part dial is porcelain with the Ansonia logo and signature at the bottom; the hands are replacements and the pallets on the visible escapement are steel.  The signed 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement runs for a short while and strikes on the standing cathedral gong, regulated by a proper two-jar pendulum.  It will probably need service.  Not perfect but not expensive.  $300–$600.
