220.            $150

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Empire No. 8”, 1905-1913. A 12.5-inch tall crystal regulator that came in a rich gold finish; I think here it has been repainted, but looks good.  The front door glass is beveled and bowed, the other glasses flat and beveled.  The  decorated porcelain dial is like new, the hands correct.  The 8-day, time and half-hour rack and snail strike is running with confidence and striking a cathedral gong. This is an unusual and uncommon model; there are no sales records on LiveAuctioneers or the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide.  $150–$300.
