E.N. Welch Mfg. Co. wall clock, ca. 1920? This 27-inch wall
clock is not shown in Ly’s book on Welch clocks; I believe it was made for export. It has a Welch label inside, although it
is for a 30-hour time piece, and this case holds an 8-day time-and-strike movement. The case appears to be mahogany with an
old, dark, patinated finish. Both glasses are twentieth century, with ‘Regulator’ on the lower glass. The dial is paper,
very yellowed, with the Welch name and location at the bottom. The hands are acceptable. The movement is not signed; it
is running, striking on a wire gong.
