213. $100
Sessions Clock Co. “Regulator E”, ca. 1908. A 38-inch oak
case with an old refinish, now fairly dark. The dial glass is period with some rebacking to the black background; the lower
glass is not period but not new either, probably second half of the twentieth century. There is a printed advertisement for
“R.N. Stripling Drug Store, San Augustine, Tex, Fine Watch Repairing, Home of South Bend Watches, The Rexall Store”. The nickel
dial plate has an old paper dial, signed at the bottom, and clean but with wear. The hands are appropriate. The 8-day,
time-only, spring-driven movement is signed and running strongly, regulated by a proper wooden stick and embossed Sessions bob. The interior has been painted black. There is a partial label on the back. $100–$200.
