207.           $150

Ansonia Brass & Copper Co. “Drop Extra”, 1869-1877.  A 25-inch refinished case veneered in rosewood with just a couple of flea-bite chips and lifting on the bezel.  Both glasses are modern replacements.  Both drop finials are also replacements, not quite to specs. The 12-inch dial is paper with the Ansonia logo, yellowed and with wear.  The hands are improper replacements.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed AB&CCo., Ansonia Conn, something I have not seen before; it is running strongly and striking on a wire gong.  There is a tattered and darkened label inside.  AAC sold one a year ago for $200.  $150–$250.
