Wm L Gilbert Clock Co. “Eunomia”, ca. 1881. A
rare model, a 40-inch walnut case with a clean old finish. The finials and trim pieces all look original, although they
differ slightly from the catalog illustration (Ly, Gilbert Clocks, page 147). The glass is period, the dial old paper,
unsigned, in a nickel bezel with slightly mismatched hands. The unsigned 8-day, time-only movement is running without issue. A
partial label on the back behind plastic tells the story. AAC sold this clock a year ago for $250. $200–$300.
