200.           $500

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Lobby 18 Inch”, 1895.  This attractive case style was typically used with smaller, 14-inch dials in a 30.5-inch case, as shown in Ly, Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements,Vol. 1 on page 342.  This is a larger version at 36 inches in height, and with an 18-inch dial (16.5-inch chapter ring). The oak case has a clean finish, with minor repairs to some joints and the possibility of a different crest at one time.  The dial glass is old.  The dial was repainted by The Dial House, the hands are as found on other 18-inch lobby clocks and show considerable corrosion; steel wool will fix that, with some bluing solution.  The 15-day, time-only, double-spring-driven Type 86G movement is running without difficulty.  No label, but the date of manufacture is stamped on the back.  AAC sold a Lobby 18 Inch in a different style case in 2022 for $850.  $500–$1000.
