Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Boston”, ca. 1880. Another City
Series clock, this one in walnut with a clean finish, 21.5 inches tall; the only flaw I see is the improper finials. The door
glass is period/original. The dial holds the original paint, soiled and dark, with proper ST hands; the 8-day, time-and-strike
ST lyre movement is signed and runs for a while before stopping; I think a cleaning is in order. It strikes on a nickel bell. There is an alarm hooked up but untested. The nickel pendulum bob is ST issue and there is a black illegible label on the inside
bottom. $100–$200.
