256.          $200

Ansonia Clock Co. “La Layon”, ca. 1904.  A beautiful 14.5-inch porcelain case in New Art Brown with good gilding and white irises on the front.  There is a beveled flat glass in the sash.  The two-part porcelain dial is signed and the Ansonia logo is in the center dial, with no damage.  The visible escapement has steel pallets.  The signed 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is running and striking on a cathedral gong.  An unusual example.  No key.  $200–$500.
