254.          $50

Waterbury Clock Co. “Calais”, ca. 1915.  A crystal regulator in a satinwood case with an 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement.  The case is just 10.5-inches tall with a clean finish and beveled glasses in the front and back brass doors.  The signed dial is porcelain with a visible escapement and one metal and one ruby pallet.  The hands are unusual and as shown in the catalog illustration (Ly, Waterbury Clocks & Watches, page 141). It doesn’t want to run and will likely need service; it will strike on a standing cathedral gong.  There is a two-jar false mercury pendulum, and a label on the bottom of the clock.

Looking for an easy way to save the clocks you like?

Here's an easy way to keep track of your favorite clocks:  Open/download the Bid Form PDF onto your computer (it should open in a new window) and type in the clocks you want to save.  Right click to 'save as', or click the download arrow in the top right corner of your browser window, and you can save the filled-in form on your computer - I recommend your desktop.  It will be easy to find and you can open it any time to add or subtract clocks from the list.  When you are ready to go, your bid form will be too!
