251.          $100

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Empire No. 15” crystal regulator, 1909-1913. A 15-inch-tall clock with a coppery finish; this clock came in two finishes: Rich Gold or Bronze.  I’m not sure which one this was, but I suspect the gold finish has been polished off.  These clocks are often repainted with a gold spray paint (e.g. here) and it can look good.  The four glasses are beveled, the dial is porcelain with replacement hands and a repaired minute hand. The 8-day time and half-hour strike movement bears the ST logo and is running and striking on the standing cathedral gong.  AACsold one in 2024 for $225.  It's an interesting and unusual model.  $100-$200.
