227. $200
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Office No. 4”, ca. 1896. An uncommon model with
an uncommon stance, where it hangs as a diamond rather than a box. The diagonals are 24 inches in this format; the case is oak,
cleaned but not refinished, with some crustiness remaining. The dial glass is period/original, the dial painted, probably repainted,
as there is no chipping and it is clean and bright. The hands are proper ST hands. The 8-day, time-only signed movement
is running nicely. No label to be found. Only one sale on LiveAuctioneers, in 2022 at Fontaine’s for $250. $200–$300.
