154. $50
Ansonia Clock Co. small cabinet, ca. 1904. Ansonia made
a series of small cabinet clocks like this and gave them English names; I suspect this is one that did not make it into Ly’s book
on Ansonia clocks (see page 243). The 12-inch pine case has elaborate inlayed wood on the front around the dial and in the small
cornice. The flat dial glass is beveled, the metal dial is gilded, the hands are Ansonia hands. The 8-day, time and half-hour
strike movement is signed and running, but the strike does not function properly and will need attention. I have not seen this
model (or any model in this series) before. Very cute. $50–$100.
