104.           $200

F. Kroeber “Japanese”, ca. 1875.  A rare and unusual model, standing 25 inches tall with the impressive top center finial.  Shown in Ly, Kroeber Clocks on page 305, everything here looks correct and original, including the door glass.  The case is walnut with ebonized trim pieces and a figurehead in the center; the dial is unsigned paper with wear, the hands differ from those shown in the catalog illustrations in Ly but are period.  The signed Kroeber movement, 8-day time-and-strike is running and striking on a brass bell, with a single barrel pendulum.  No label. Only one old sale on LiveAuctioneers.  $200–$600.

Looking for an easy way to save the clocks you like?

Here's an easy way to keep track of your favorite clocks:  Open/download the Bid Form PDF onto your computer (it should open in a new window) and type in the clocks you want to save.  Right click to 'save as', or click the download arrow in the top right corner of your browser window, and you can save the filled-in form on your computer - I recommend your desktop.  It will be easy to find and you can open it any time to add or subtract clocks from the list.  When you are ready to go, your bid form will be too!
